McCracken County Schools Place Air Disinfection Devices in Classrooms

Nanotechnology Adds Another Layer of Protection Against Airborne Transmission of Pathogens

The largest school system in Western Kentucky, McCracken County Schools, recently installed air disinfection devices in every classroom. The devices use patented NanoStrike™ technology from WellAir to help reduce harmful microorganisms that can produce illness and disease (including COVID-19), as well as allergens and pollutants that irritate respiratory systems and trigger asthma attacks.

“At McCracken County Schools nothing is more important than safer in-person learning environments for our students and dedicated staff. These technologies have been well-proven in some of the most renowned healthcare systems in the U.S.

Air disinfection allows us to proactively address the challenge of airborne transmission of infectious agents that may affect our student’s health, while also helping to improve the overall indoor air quality for all of our students and staff.”
